We are Leonel and Margreet, the founders and guides behind Mono Loco Adventures, and we’ll be guiding you on your journey through Nicaragua. Leonel was born and raised in Nicaragua and grew up exploring its volcanoes, jungles, and remote landscapes. Margreet came from the Netherlands and discovered Nicaragua through travel.
Together, we bring two perspectives, local roots and curious traveler, to create authentic and responsible adventures. Our goal is to take you beyond the well-known highlights and into the real Nicaragua: hidden places, meaningful encounters, and stories that most visitors never get to experience.
