The Classic Nica Tour

Your journey begins in León. We will get ready for a city tour, a two-and-a-half-hour walk through the intellectual capital of the country. We will visit the local market and some museums. After the tour, you will choose your preferred spot for lunch, ofcourse we will give you some recommendations. At 2 PM, we will head to Telica Volcano for the sunset tour. The journey includes a one-and-a-half-hour drive followed by a 45-60minute hike to reach the crater of one of the most impressive volcanoes in Nicaragua. We will witness a breathtaking sunset before returning to León, where dinner will be ready for you. If you still have energy, you can experience the city’s nightlife, including bars, karaoke, and more.

After breakfast, we will have the morning free to visit museums of our choice. León is known for its bohemian and cultural atmosphere, as well as its authenticity and student life. We have several recommendations for you to enjoy your morning or simply relax at the hotel. In the afternoon, we will head to Cerro Negro, possibly the most famous volcano in Nicaragua and the only one in the world where you can practice sandboarding, sliding down the slopes of an active volcano. An exciting experience with drinks included, ending with a bonfire and marshmallows at the volcano’s edge.

After breakfast we jump in the van and we go on an exciting journey towards Granada.

Our local guide will be waiting for us to do a walking tour in the city of Granda, ready to amaze us with inspiring stories. After the tour you are free to explore a bit of the city and grab some lunch. We advise you to try Vigorón, Granada’s traditional dish. Afterwards, you can take some time to relax and recharge before we are heading to Las Isletas de Granada, where we will explore the islands with our local guide and enjoy the sunset from one of the islands on the legendary Lake Nicaragua. We will enjoy our dinner on one of the islands surrounded by nature and breathtaking scenery.

After a Nica-style breakfast, we get ready to reach the summit of Mombacho Volcano, a beautiful hike filled with emotions, stunning landscapes, and a familiar sight across Nicaragua’s Pacific region, volcanoes and lakes.

After some downtime at our hotel, we drive 25 minutes to Laguna de Apoyo, where we will have lunch and spend the afternoon enjoying its peaceful surroundings, drinks, sunshine, and engaging conversations about the country and its people. After sunset, we return back to our hotel, where you can choose your preferred place for dinner. And enjoy the evening.

In the morning, after breakfast we drive to the port of San Jorge, where we will board the iconic ferry to Ometepe.

After an hour of breathtaking views, we approach the island with its two majestic volcanoes in sight. Upon arrival, we check in and relax a bit before we will enjoy our lunch.

In the afternoon, we embark on a kayaking adventure on the serene Rio Istian, gliding through tranquil mangroves, observing exotic birds and wildlife in their natural habitat. We end the day with some well-deserved dinner at Playa Mangos and rest at the hotel.

We start the day with breakfast before heading to Ojo de Agua, a natural spring with crystal-clear mineral waters from the Maderas Volcano. Here, we can swim, relax in hammocks, enjoy a refreshing coconut cocktail, and have a delicious lunch.

After lunch, we drive to El Pital, an ecolodge surrounded by lush nature. Here, we are going to do a Chocolate Tour, where we will discover the cacao-making process from bean to bar, with tastings included. 

In the afternoon, we will go and visit Punta Jesus Maria. Punta Jesús María is famous for its unique sandbar that extends into Lake Nicaragua, offering spectacular views of the two volcanos on Ometepe. And the best way to experience this is by sunset.

We will close the day with a delicious dinner.

After a delicious breakfast, we embark on our journey back to San Jorge. where we will continue our drive to San Juan Del Sur. 

We check in our hotel and you will have some time off to explore this beautifull city and grab some lunch with beach views.

In the afternoon we will witness the sunset from the iconic Christ of Mercy statue, offering a stunning panoramic view. After you’ll have time to enjoy San Juan del Sur’s nightlife and choose your preferred dinner spot. We have plenty of recommendations for you!

With our stomachs from breakfast and our spirits lifted by San Juan del Sur’s morningsun, we prepare this morning to explore Playa Hermosa, located about 30 minutes from town. This beach offers white sands, rolling waves, and a great vibe. We will enjouy our lunch watching the waves at Playa Hermosa before joining our Catamaran Tour.

On board, we will enjoy food, drinks, games, and even fishing, making for a perfect afternoon on the ocean in this paradise of a country. After sunset, you can have dinner at the place of your choice. And enjoy San Juan Del Surs nightlife.

After breakfast we prepare this morning to explore Playa El Remanso, located about 20 minutes from town. Playa El Remanso is a favorite among locals. We will savor a delicious lunch before starting our drive back to Leon.

We will make a stop at Catarina where you will have an amazing view over Laguna de Apoyo and Lake Nicaragua. Here you will have the option to go ziplining or just relax a bit.

Late afternoon we will have dinner in Catarina while we hear the marimba’s playing their songs. before heading back to Leon where we will end our journey together.
