Leon is Art
Leon radiates rebellion, Leon expresses art, and transports you to the past in a unique way. For this reason it is known as the Athens of Central America. This becomes clear as you walk its streets, surrounded by fascinating stories. It is the birthplace of one of the greatest writers in the Spanish-speaking world, the greatest pride of Nicaraguans: Rubén Darío, the eternal genius of the city, who placed us on the map of modernity, art, and global literature.
