Camping in the heart of the cloud forest
The mountains of Macizo welcome us with cool air and lush scenery. We explore the area, cross clear rivers, and find hidden waterfalls. Then we hike deep into the cloud forest and set up our camp. At night, birds sing and jungle sounds surround us. If we are lucky we will wake up and see some Quetzall and other birds. It is a magical adventure full of nature, peace and unforgettable memories that makes the journey truly special.

While sightings vary, the reserve is home to many species, including toucans, hummingbirds, and more.
Yes, children are welcome, but it’s recommended they are old enough to walk comfortably for couple of hours.
Early mornings are best for active bird sightings.
We advise to do this hike when you are a gook hiker and have done moderate to advanced hikes. This because we are located in the Cloudy Forest and the rain can make the trail slippery. At some points we might face ladders to climb up to the next spot. Our experienced guides will adjust the pace to the group.
We advise to bring good hikingshoes. But we also have boots for you available to wear during the hike.
Yes, you might spot small mammals, snakes, reptiles and interesting plants along the way
